چکیده

Low-cost DNA sequencing technologies have expanded the role for direct nucleic acid sequencing in the analysis of genomes, transcriptomes, and the metagenomes of whole ecosystems. Human and machine comprehension of such large datasets can be simplified via synthesis of sequence fragments into long, contiguous blocks of sequence (contigs), but most of the progress in the field of assembly has focused on genomes in isolation rather than metagenomes. Here, we present software for paired-read iterative contig extension (PRICE), a strategy for focused assembly of particular nucleic acid species using complex metagenomic data as input. We describe the assembly strategy implemented by PRICE and provide examples of its application to the sequence of particular genes, transcripts, and virus genomes from complex multicomponent datasets, including an assembly of the BCBL-1 strain of Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus. PRICE is open-source and available for free download (derisilab.ucsf.edu/software/price/ or sourceforge.net/projects/pricedenovo/).

Solving a multi-objective mixed-model assembly line balancing and sequencing problem

This research addresses the mixed-model assembly line (MMAL) by considering various constraints. In MMALs, several types of products which their similarity is so high are made on an assembly line. As a consequence, it is possible to assemble and make several types of products simultaneously without spending any additional time. The proposed multi-objective model considers the balancing and sequ...

زمانبندی جریان کارگاهی مونتاژ با زمان آماده‌سازی وابسته به توالی و زمان حمل و نقل

In this paper, three-stage assembly flowshop scheduling is considered with respect to minimizing bi-objectives, namely mean flow time and mean tardiness. This problem is a model of production systems, which several production operations are done simultaneously and independently, and then produced components are collected and transferred to an assembly stage for the final operation. In this mode...

A three-stage assembly flow shop scheduling problem with blocking and sequence-dependent set up times

This paper considers a three-stage assembly flowshop scheduling problem with sequence-dependent setup < /div> times at the first stage and blocking times between each stage in such a way that the weighted mean completion time and makespan are minimized. Obtaining an optimal solution for this type of complex, large-sized problem in reasonable computational time using traditiona...
